BRENTWOOD COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ALMA JUANITA JONES APPLIED SCIENCES EXCELLENCE AWARD
One award of $2,500 will be given to a recent high school graduate, undergraduate or graduate student to pursue a degree in the field of mathematics or sciences. The recipient must be enrolled in an accredited college or university with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. Each student will receive $1,250 for the first semester and based on submission of a progress report by the student after the first semester, the remaining $1,250 scholarship balance will be awarded.
Requirements: 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale. This award was created and funded by David Fitzgerald Jones in honor of his mother to recognize outstanding students for their early achievements and dedication toward the study of sciences.

The essay should be a reflection of the applicant’s narrative and descriptive writing abilities. This scholarship is funded by Johnny L. Walker Jr. and Geraldine Walker.
